Northrop Grumman could bring as many as 900 jobs to Melbourne

MELBOURNE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has announced that it will be bringing new jobs to Florida.

The company says it will establish a Manned Aircraft Design Center of Excellence in Melbourne, which will include work currently being done at other company locations.  Northrop Grumman also announced an Aircraft Integration Center of Excellence in St. Augustine.

The expansion could bring as many as 900 new jobs to Brevard County.

The company says it is creating these facilities to improve its strategic alignment with its customers' need for increasingly innovative and affordable products, services and solutions.

Northrop Grumman is a global security company specializing in unmanned systems and cybersecurity.
