ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
An Orlando mother is facing felony aggravated child abuse charges after Orange County deputies say she stabbed two teenagers during an after-school fight.
Marcus Walker, one of the victims, displayed staples in his back after investigators say he was involved in a neighborhood fight with another boy and was stabbed by the boy's mother, Nora Silva, 33.
"I'm very angry, very angry," Walker said.
Deputies say the fight happened after several students got off a school bus at Richfield Street and Centennial Drive in Orlando on Monday afternoon, according to a Sheriff's Office report.
Silva's son was involved in a fight with several other teens before Silva herself also became involved in the fight, the report said.
When deputies arrived, they found Walker and his friend with stab wounds.
"I went in the house and told my mom, and the police was already out here and they had her in handcuffs," Walker said.
Walker's mother says she was devastated when she saw her son had been stabbed in the back.
"When he came in my room and he had his shirt off and he said that this lady stabbed him, I immediately jumped out my bed. I was frantic," said Sue Hollinger, a victim's mother.
Still, she says it's a blessing his wounds weren't life-threatening.
"He received four staples in his back, and the other child... his friend got stabbed in the shoulder. He received three stitches. I just thank God that he's still walking around," Hollinger said.
According to the report, Silva denied stabbing the teens. She told investigators the boys were trying to fight her son, and she was trying to break up it up.
Still, deputies say they found a knife in her pocket.
"I just find it unacceptable," Hollinger said.
Silva posted $5,000 bond Tuesday morning.
