KISSIMMEE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
A mother is still holding out hope that her daughter's killer will be brought to justice, nine years after her death.
Diane Boa has organized a candlelight vigil every year on the anniversary of her daughter's death. The body of 22-year-old Kelly Ann Balderas was found in a hotel room at the former Breeze Inn in Kissimmee on March 6, 2004. There were obvious signs of trauma to her body, but no arrests have been made in the case.
The Kissimmee Police Department says while there are no new leads, the nine-year-old case remains active.
"Someone knows what happened to Kelly Ann. It is time for that person to come forward and help bring closure to her family," said Chief Lee Massie.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Kissimmee Police Department at 407-847-0176, or CRIMELINE at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
