GILA BEND, Ariz. -

Two stolen vehicles with about 2,000 pounds of marijuana were found in the desert east of Gila Bend early Friday morning, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's office.

An SUV and a pickup truck were left abandoned by their drivers and occupants after leading deputies on a pursuit.

OVer $1 million worth of marijuana was stuffed from the floorboards to the roof of the SUV and overloaded into the truck.

Deputies say they searched the area but are still looking for the suspects.

Another marijuana seizure occurred earlier this week after deputies found 1,000 pounds of marijuana in suspect Efrain Nunez's van in Glendale.
