AURORA, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
At least three people were injured when a vehicle went into a retention pond Saturday night in west suburban Aurora.
About 7:30 p.m., a vehicle drove from the Eola Road exit ramp of I-88 into the retention pond, Illinois State Police Trooper Michelle Kistulinec said.
Three of the passengers were taken to area hospitals, Kistulinec said. The condition of the fourth passenger was not immediately available.
As of 9:20 p.m., the vehicle was out of the retention pond but the ramp was still closed and the fire department was still on the scene, Kistulinec said.
Rescue teams were working at the pond, with divers in the water, according to reports.
