An instructor from Bethune Cookman University is facing several serious charges. Daytona Beach police said Brian Jansen, 44, was arrested for attempting to have sex with a young girl.
Daytona Beach police said Jansen thought he was chatting online with a 14-year-old girl, but he was really talking to an undercover officer. Police said Jansen asked the decoy many questions of a sexual nature, including which sexual positions she liked and what she thought about older men.
Jansen then set up a time to meet her, and that's when police caught him. Police confirmed Jansen worked for Bethune Cookman University.
Police said Jansen told them he used his work computer to chat with the decoy. Jansen is listed as a coach and instructor on the school's website. Investigators said Jansen was arrested on Thursday. The school could not be reached for a comment.
