CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

On Monday's Chat Room, lifestyle consultant Rochelle Trotter and relationship expert Bela Gandhi of Smart Dating Academy discussed how Kraft makes Mac and Cheese in America versus abroad and to spank or not to spank - how are parents choosing to discipline their children.

One of America's favorite comfort foods – and kids foods - is getting beaten up by moms. Two moms have launched a campaign telling Kraft to change the way they make mac n cheese in our country.

A petition with over 210,000 signatures asks the company to stop using the dye that makes it that lovely orangey color, as they do in Britain. Why? It can lead to many harmful side-effects, including ADHD and cancer.

The ladies also discussed corporeal punishment on Monday. Mariah Carey's husband Nick Cannon recently tweeted that he will be spanking their children to discipline them, saying, "I was spanked therefore I shall spank! My momma did a good job! LOL"

Cannon later tweeted, "Spare the rod, spoil the child! That's what's wrong with the kids today, The time out generation has no real discipline!"

Are you worried you might call your ex late one night in a moment of weakness? Want your ex removed from your social media world? There new "break up" apps are out, and Bela Gandhi explained what she found.

There is also an interesting political situation happening in the south suburb of Dixmoor. Wendy Casey and her son Randall are living in the same home – and are both running for mayor! The ladies discussed their opinion on that situation.

Chicago gun violence has taken a large toll on the community.

Nate Pendleton, father of Hadiya Pendleton, a teen who was paving her path to success with smiles and a positive attitude. She fatally shot on Jan. 29, just one week after performing at festivities surrounding President Obama's second inauguration.

Pendleton spoke on what it has been like for his family since Hadiya's tragic death, on a new bill that would help curb gun trafficking and highlighted a major problem contributing to gun violence: lack of money, to lead a life without the desperation that causes some people to turn to violence.
