DETROIT (WJBK) -

The public is now getting a look at the mountain of evidence the Jury in the Kilpatrick Trial sifted through.

Checks, receipts, the money trail and some taped conversations and audio recordings of Bernard Kilpatrick, perhaps lending more understanding to why he's called "The Maestro."

Play the video in the player to see undercover video released by the Federal Court as part of a full report from Fox 2's Taryn Asher.>>

In December 2007, a parking lot meeting with Synagro Executive James Rosendall and Bernard Kilpatrick shows Rosendall place white box inside Kilaptrick's vehicle.

Inside the box is a case Crystal Champagne, priced at more than $250 a bottle.

Rosendall also slipped him $300, hidden in a gum wrapper according to the FBI evidence.

Rosendall was the FBI's informant who started wearing hidden cameras to their meetings.

At the time Synagro wanted the billion dollar sludge hauling deal with the city of Detroit.

In 2008, undercover video catches an exchange outside Bernard's Detroit condo in Detroit, just after Kilpatrick the FBI evidence says he accepts $2500 in cash.

Kilpatrick: Then you take the money hand it to me in the middle of a restaurant with the coolness right there.

Rosendall: I'm sorry BK.

Kilpatrick: I don't know why you do sh** like that.

Rosendall: I thought you and her were like this?

Kilpatrick: We are.

Rosendall: But not like that.

Kilpatrick: I don't want anybody to see me taking money from anybody else.

Rosendall: You know after I did it it's like I knew.

Kilpatrick: You don't know if they have cameras.

There were also audio recordings and wire taps, recording conversations secretly taped when Bernard Kilpatrick and Rosendall were out to dine.

Audio recording Rosendall:  I said I have half of what we talked about it December. Do you want cash or check?

Evidence like this was not enough for the jury to convict Bernard Kilpatrick on racketeering. He was convicted on one count of  filing a false tax return.

His beloved son Kwame Kilpatrick taking much of the fall, in part because of what he said during a 2001 mayoral debate against candidate Gill Hill.

Kwame Kilpatrick: We've done all the paperwork, followed rule from the IRS - wouldn't mess with the IRS. We haven't used one penny, not one penny of the civic fund in this campaign because it's not allowed by law.
