The Taste of Chicago has been a city a tradition since 1980. Mayor Emanuel tried to make it smaller, shorter and more upscale last year. The city lost over $1 million. Alderman Bob Fioretti suggested that it might be time to end the Taste. He said it's too expensive and people aren't going. FOX 32's Bob Sirott argued they should move the taste to winter time when nothing's going on.
A Gage Park mother is suing a local McDonald's claiming her toddler ate a condom found in the play area, which only reinforces the belief those play pits may just be the grossest places on earth. The ladies discussed this mother's claim, proper child care and restaurant etiquette.
A Louisiana mother made her daughter wear a t-shirt that read, "Hide your money. Hide your clothes. Hide everything. Cuz I'm A Thief," to teach her a lesson after she was arrested for shoplifting. The mom said that since her daughter embarrassed her by stealing, she would show her daughter what it's like to be embarrassed. The ladies discussed proper parenting.
The ladies also discussed Gov. Quinn's rant about his brother's firing, and how while it was nice to see his human side, being a public figure does carry a lot of weight.
