Two arrested in Sanford shootings which left one dead

SANFORD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Sanford police have arrested two people believed to be connected to shootings near an elementary school which left one person dead and another injured.

Tracy Cashe III, 31 was arrested for the fatal shooting of Phillip Hunt Jr., and Aaron Riggins was arrested for the shooting of Nathaniel Hall.  Hall remains hospitalized at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

The shootings happened on Thursday within the 13-hundred block of West 20th Street, near Goldsboro Elementary School. The school was shut down for about a hour while officers investigated.

Detectives still aren't sure what sparked the shooting, but they say a the encounter quickly turned into a physical fight, and then guns were drawn and fired.
