Single-engine plane runs off runway in Gila Bend

GILA BEND, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a single-engine plane ran off a runway when landing in Gila Bend late Sunday morning.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the pilot of the Cessna 172N was brought to a hospital with minor injuries.

No one else was on the plane.

The pilot had departed from Tucson and landed the airplane at the Gila Bend Municipal Airport.

The plane was registered to a corporation with a Tucson address.
