Two teenagers were wounded in a drive-by shooting in the North Center neighborhood late Sunday.
The two males, ages 17 and 18, were traveling in a Dodge Neon in 2400 block of Irving Park Road when a dark-colored SUV pulled alongside and at least one gunman inside opened fire about 11:33 p.m., police said.
A bullet struck the 17-year-old in the shoulder. The 18-year-old suffered a graze wound to the head, as well as a gunshot wound to the back, police said.
Both are listed in "stable" but serious condition at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to authorities.
After the shooting, the teens fled in the Neon. Police recovered the car, riddled with bullet holes, about a mile away, at West Montrose Avenue and North Whipple Street, according to the dispatch reports.
No one was arrested as Area North detectives were investigating.
