People in northwest Georgia are keeping an extremely close eye on Monday's threat of severe weather. The region has seen its share of devastation lately, and some residents say they're suffering from a bit of "weather fatigue."
It was just two weeks ago that a microburst in Calhoun blew down trees that destroyed several buildings, and the cleanup and repairs continue. Back on January 31, a devastating tornado struck Adairsville in Bartow County, as well as Gordon County. Gordon County was also hit in December 2012 when a tornado destroyed several homes.
In Adairsville, there are still blue tarps covering damaged roofs, and the area is working extremely hard to rebuild and restore all that was lost back in January.
In April 2011, an historic tornado outbreak marched across Alabama and into northwest Georgia. Counties that suffered major damage included Dade, Walker and Catoosa.
The city of Ringgold suffered the biggest heartache with the loss of eight people from the massive EF-4 tornado.
