The Orlando area will soon get another attraction, and this one is huge -- the world's tallest, in fact.
Fun Spot's Kissimmee location will be home to the world's tallest skycoaster, which gives riders a skydiving and hang gliding experience rolled into one.
The skycoaster will be 300 feet tall.
"It's probably the ultimate thrill in the world. You drop for about 130 feet, the cables tighten up on you, and you swing back and forth. It isn't like your average porch swing, that's for sure," Fun Spot owner John Aire Jr. said.
"You will not forget the first time you've ever flown on that one."
The ride can accommodate three people at a time and can reach speeds of up to 75 mph.
"The more you have, the faster you go," Aire said.
For its part, Fun Spot's other location, in Orlando, will be home to the world's second-tallest skycoaster at 250 feet.
"You have to go all the way to the back tower, pull your own ripcord, freefall about 100 feet and swing through the air like Superman," Aire said.
Fun Spot Orlando also will debut two roller coasters in the next few months. The first, called White Lightning, will be Orlando's first wooden coaster and is scheduled to open in mid-May to early June. A steel coaster called Freedom Flyer open in early May.
Fun Spot is offering Fox 35 viewers a huge discount to ride the skycoaster by going to David Martin's Twitter feed @Fox35David.
