OCALA, Fla. (WOGX FOX 51) -
Country music star David Allan Coe was injured in a traffic crash Tuesday morning in Ocala, police said.
Coe ran a red light at West Silver Springs Boulevard (State Road 40) and Pine Avenue (U.S. 441) and hit a tractor trailer carrying two people, investigators said.
Coe, 73, of Texas was in a 2011 Chevy Suburban heading east on Silver Springs Boulevard when he ran through the light. The truck hit his passenger side, sending the Suburban into a nearby parking lot and turning the semi on its side.
All three were taken to a local hospital, but officials say they are expected to be OK.
Police shut down the area because diesel fuel spilled into the road and a light pole was damaged in the crash. Charges are pending.
Coe is most famous for country songs "Would You Lay with Me (in a Field of Stone)" and "Take This Job and Shove It."
His official website says he was north of Daytona Beach this weekend for a show.
