HENRY COUNTY, Ga. -
Police in Henry County are seeking three suspects in connection with a theft at a Stockbridge Walmart on March 11.
Police say the three men entered the Walmart store on Hudson Bridge Road, and one of the men placed two stereos into a shopping cart. He then met up with the two other men, and all three attempted to leave the store without paying for a shopping cart full of stereo equipment and electronics.
Police say when store security personnel confronted the men, they ran to a small red pickup truck, and as they speeded away, gunshots were fired.
"It certainly causes us a lot more concern for it to go from a theft, a simple shoplifting type incident, to an aggravated assault, whether shooting a gun back towards either the victim or even the store itself," said Major Jason Bolton of the Henry County Police Department.
The fact the men were armed while inside the store has police concerned about the three men. Anyone with information is urged to call the Henry County Police Department at 770-288-8494.
