Landslide Closes Northbound Pacific Coast Highway

(FOX 11 / CNS) A landslide this morning closed the northbound lanes of Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades, authorities said.

Firefighters were sent to PCH near Temescal Canyon Road at 4:15 a.m., and the city's Department of Building and Safety was notified of the slide, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department. Some structures are at the top of the hillside area.

A stretch of northbound PCH was closed between Temescal Canyon Road and West Coastline Drive. No injuries were reported, said a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department's West Los Angeles Station.

Crews were sent to remove the debris, a process that was continuing well after daybreak.
