Spring is officially here but you wouldn't know it by the temperatures outside. FOX 5's Storm Team said the metro Atlanta area could even see a wintry mix overnight Thursday.
A system moving east could bring more clouds and possibly a light mixture of sleet or snow during the early morning hours Friday, according to FOX 5 Storm Team Chief Meteorologist Ken Cook.
Areas west and southwest of Atlanta have the best chance of seeing any snowflakes or sleet. That chance is still very small, Ken said.
No accumulation is expected, according to Ken.
A freeze warning is in effect on Friday from midnight to 10 a.m. for north and portions of central Georgia, according to the National Weather Service.
