BALL GROUND, Ga. (AP) - Police in Cherokee County say a Forsyth County sheriff's deputy has been injured in a single-vehicle accident.
Officials say the crash happened Saturday afternoon on Georgia Highway 369 in Ball Ground - about 50 miles north of downtown Atlanta. Police say the deputy's patrol car hydroplaned and struck several trees.
Authorities say the injured deputy was wearing a seatbelt at the time and has been taken to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell for non-life threatening injuries.
