ST. CLOUD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
A man whom police say confessed to shooting a former coworker during an argument over who was the better employee is expected to face a judge this morning.
Jose Montes Rodriguez, 29, faces first-degree murder charges in the death of Cesar Rodriguez, 28, who was shot at about midnight Sunday.
St. Cloud Police say the two were at a party at a home on Indiana Avenue when an altercation broke out over who was a better employee. They say Montes Rodriguez then shot the victim and fled.
Witnesses called 911 and told police they thought he had barricaded himself in his home on Illinois Avenue, but he wasn't there. Authorities were able to find Montes Rodriguez by using his cell phone to track him down.
