An army of volunteers started remodeling Tripp Halstead's house on Sunday so it can be ready when he finally comes home.
The 2-year-old boy has rarely left the hospital since October when a tree branch fell and hit him in the head outside his Winder daycare center.
The charity, Sunshine on a Ranney Day, offered to remodel the house. The changes include a therapy room and wider doorways for Tripp's wheelchair, and Tripp's parents were the first of many to start gutting the family's home to better suit his needs.
