Police are searching for the suspect in a Sunday shooting at an Easter party that left a man in critical condition.

Wilfred Gregory, 33, is being sought by Apopka Police after an eight-hour standoff at a home several blocks from the party.

Investigators responded to a report of gunshots at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday across from Alonzo Williams Park.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a man who had been shot and critically injured. Officials rushed the victim, who has not been identified, to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

The victim had been shot in the head and torso, officials said.

Police say hundreds of people were at a home celebrating Easter when a fight broke out and ended with gunfire. According to officers, several witnesses say they saw the suspect shoot the victim. The suspect fled and ran into a house about four blocks away on 10th Street.

Investigators set up a perimeter around the house, but after eight hours, Gregory was not found.

Anyone with information on Gregory's whereabouts is asked to call Apopka Police.
