Small Plane Crashes At South Jersey Airport

HAMMONTON, N.J. -

SkyFOX flew over the scene of a small plane crash Friday afternoon in Atlantic County.

The crash scene is the Hammonton Municipal Airport, located on Academy Drive.

Hammonton police said a twin-engine Cessna (C-414) aircraft with two people on board crashed at 11:20 a.m. as it was landing on runway three.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation reported that crash resulted in a fire, but the two people on board were not injured.

SkyFOX showed it came to rest near some trees, and there was some burned brush nearby.

Police report that all of the plane's occupants are out, and there are no injuries.

Fire crews remained at the scene after the crash, and the runway appeared to be closed.

The FAA will investigate the cause of the crash.
