"Starbuck," a comedy that tugs at your heart strings
By Karen Lehr, FOX 35 Intern
"Starbuck" is all about 42 year old Man child, David (Patrick Huard). He's irresponsible, lazy and notoriously unreliable. He's got ONE Job at his family's owned meat shop, to deliver the meat, and even that task is seldom met.
One of David's many challenges we're invited to experience is that he's into some local thugs for$80,000. His brilliant plan…grow pot plants to help pay off his $80,000 debt, but even at that he is a failure.
The plot centers around another one of Dave's money making schemes, sperm donations made more than 20 years ago which resulted in him fathering 533 children. 142 of who now wish to find out the identity of sperm donor... "Starbuck".
Through it all you have to learn to accept Starbuck, and Starbuck has to learn to accept himself. "Starbuck" will tug at your heart strings at some points, but will keep you laughing out loud at others- a perfect combination of drama and comedy.
