CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

There were some marvelous moments on "American Idol" Wednesday night, but considering Angie Miller is from Beverly, Massachusetts--just north of Boston--her choice of the Pretenders "I'll stand by you" was the perfect choice for a song from the year she was born.

Of course, as the judges pointed out that Angie is always best when she's playing the piano as she sings. Given the tragedy that hit her hometown area this week it was so appropriate she emotionally dedicated her first performance of the night to the people of Boston.

Ever since the Boston Marathon bombings Monday, many celebrities have been trying to figure out how to help. Naturally, stars with strong Boston ties are in the forefront.

Oscar winners and Boston boys Ben Affleck and Matt Damon--plus Mark Wahlberg and Mindy Kaling of "The Mindy Project" on FOX -- are trying to figure out a way to raise funds for the survivors of the marathon horror, many who will need serious support for the rest of their lives.

Though Black Sabbath rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has finally admitted it was his backsliding into heavy drinking and drugging the past year and a half that led his wife Sharon to move out, he still has a lot to prove to Sharon and his kids.

Sources close to Sharon Osbourne say that while Ozzy claims to have been sober now for 40-some days, he will have to keep that up for many months, before she moves back in with him.
