Daft Punk debuted portion of their song 'Get Lucky', featuring Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers, at Coachella Music & Arts Festival. Full song appears online? Not so fast.
'Get Lucky' appeared on Rolling Stone Tuesday, following a visual teaser featuring Daft Punk, Williams and Rodgers being shown at Coachella over the weekend.
The track features guest vocals from Pharrell Williams, while Chic star Nile Rodgers contributes guitar.
Daft Punk's new album Random Access Memories will be released in the UK on May 20 and a day later in the US.
Apparently the track, featuring Pharrell and Nile Rodgers, isn't the final mix but it sounds pretty close. And it seems that Pharrell's other verses are on this version, which would be pretty difficult to make up or loop, with lyrics like:
She's up all night til' the sun,
I'm up all night to get some,
She's up all night for good fun,
I'm up all night to get lucky.
We're up all night to the sun,
We're up all night to get some,
We're up all night for good fun,
We're up all night to get lucky.
The original mix of "Get Lucky" is 6 minutes and 7 seconds long, which is far different than the fan-made loops of tracks that other sites posted earlier today. There are multiple sources online where you can listen to the track.
If this version is fake, it's the most incredible fake leak we've ever seen—and will readily cop to being fooled by it (along with the rest of the Internet).
