Eskin: 3 Players The Eagles Won't Be Taking In NFL Draft

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

The National Football League Draft begins tonight, and the Eagles are set to pick at No. 4.

FOX 29's Howard Eskin reported Wednesday night that he has talked to a couple of NFL sources, and here's the latest information on the Eagles' pick that he has been given.

It won't be defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd of Florida. Eskin says he's told Floyd's arms are too short and not good against the pass.

He's also told the pick won't be Oregon's Dion Jordan, who is coming off of a shoulder injury that could slow him down for the start of the season.

So, here is what it comes down to. If Central Michigan offensive tackle Eric Fisher gets down to four, that's the guy Eskin hears they want.

But here are a couple of other possibilities. Eskin is told there's a strong possibility the nose tackle from Utah's Star Lotulelei could be a nice fit in the Eagles' new defensive scheme. New head coach Chip Kelly apparently likes him.

And the offensive tackle out of Oklahoma, Lane Johnson, would be a longshot. But if three offensive lineman are picked in the top three, then Star is probably the guy.

Another player Eskin guarantees the Eagles will not take is quarterback Geno Smith.

Eskin has a bet with "Good Day's" Mike Jerrick for a dinner at a fine restaurant that the West Virginia quarterback won't be the birds' pick.

Video games may be pure fantasy, but a violent action-adventure game called "Watch Dogs" has ignited a very real debate in one South Jersey community. Watch Dog allows players to adopt the persona of a James Bond-like computer hacker, chasing an evil mastermind. People say it's chock-full of foul language, sex and violence, features dark and foreboding backdrops. The latest version, which is due out this fall may be set in Camden.
