Coveted Arias courtroom seats determined by lottery

PHOENIX -

Thursday morning, more than 70 people lined up outside the courthouse hoping to get a seat inside as the Jodi Arias Trial comes to a close. But a surprise lottery left some out of luck.

As this trial comes to a close, interest is overflowing.

A lot of folks have been closely following this case since it went to trial back in January.

CNN's Headline News even built a huge outdoor set in Cityscape plaza.

"We follow it every day, every day since we're older and both of us work we have a chance to see it every day so yes we have been following it. It's been very interesting especially since she got on the stand herself," says court watcher Cathy Lutrell.

"We live close and we've just been watching it and I think that justice needs to be served," says Chris Lutrell.

"I think Travis deserves justice and I'm just curious to see what the outcome is going to be," says Anthony Morell.

Many of the folks we talked to said their interest in the case differs. Some want to see justice for Travis. Others say they have followed the case since the murder happened years ago.

No doubt, with this 5-month case now quickly coming to a close, there are more eyes and interest on it than ever.
