Thousands Of Bees Backed Up Morning Commute In New Jersey

Take a look at traffic trouble you truly do not see every day.

Thousands of bees escaped from a disabled truck on Route 287 in Bernards Township. That's in North Jersey.

A tractor trailer full of boxes carrying more than 50,000 thousand bees was taking an exit off of 287 north in Bernards township when the load shifted.

Beekeepers from the New Jersey Beekeeping Association was among those who responded to the scene with police.

The bee spill caused minor delays along Route 287 northbound as crews worked to gather the bees.

Officials say they were being taken from Georgia to Maine to be used for pollination

Crews had the bee spill cleaned up by noon time.
