DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Daytona Beach Police have released surveillance images captured during a deadly hit-and-run incident early Sunday.

Police say the driver of a red, two-door convertible with shiny rims was involved in a fight with a pedestrian near at North Wild Olive Avenue and Seabreeze Boulevard. They say the driver started to leave but then turned around his car and struck the victim, killing him, then drove off.

Authorities think the driver of the red convertible was a light-skinned black man, and investigators said the red convertible may have front-end damage from the incident.

Anyone with information or who comes in contact with a vehicle or suspect matching the description is asked to notify Daytona Beach Police Det. Ricky Ray at 386-671-5231 or rayr@dbpd.us.

The Daytona Beach Police Department is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in this case.
