Rosie Perez Returns With '24-Hour Plays' To Benefit The Arts

Rosie Perez is organizing a new production of ‘The 24 Hour Plays.' It's an annual event, a workshop during which 6 original plays will be written, directed and performed .. and from start to finish, they'll do it all in 24 hours.  Rosie joins Steve Edwards and Maria Sansone on Good Day L.A.

This year's production of ‘The 24 Hour Plays' presented by Montblanc, will be held on June 22nd at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica.

Fun Facts about Rosie:

  • Started her career dancing on "Soul Train"
  • Choreographed music videos for Janet Jackson, Diana Ross, LL Cool J
  • Was a choreographer for the Fly Girls on "In Living Color"
  • Spike Lee, who noticed her in a dance club in 1988, hired her to star in "Do The Right Thing"
  • Best known for her role in "White Men Can't Jump"
  • Nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for "Fearless"
  • Voices the character Click on Nick Jr.'s "Go, Diego, Go!"
