Cubs could play more night games under new plan

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The Cubs could be playing 16 more night games next year if a plan from Mayor Emanuel passes the city council.

The mayor unveiled the plan Wednesday which calls for 46 night games. Currently, the Cubs play 30.

Wrigley Field would also be able to host four concerts and some Friday day games would have their start times pushed back to 3:05 p.m.

The Cubs say more night games bring in more revenue and better TV ratings.
