Fund being set up for daughter of fallen Wayne-Westland firefighter

WESTLAND, Mich. (WJBK) -

Friends and family are remembering the life of Brian Woehlke, the Wayne-Westland firefighter who died in the line of duty Wednesday.

Woehlke, 29, leaves behind Jennifer, his wife of four years, and his 13-month-old daughter Ava.

Local business owners tell FOX 2 they plan to hold a fundraiser for the family. A date has not been determined, but you can still help the Woehlke family.

A trust fund has been established for Ava Woehlke.  If you would like to contribute, you can make a check out to the Westland Firefighters Charity and send it to PO Box 851320, Westland, Michigan 48185.  Checks can also be dropped off to Station 1 at the corner of Ford Road and Central City in Westland.

Funeral arrangements for Brian are still pending.
