ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) -- Atlantic City's casino revenue declined by more than 12 percent in April.

Figures released Friday by the state Division of Gaming Enforcement show the 12 gambling halls took in $228.5 million.

Revel, the city's newest casino and one that expects to emerge from bankruptcy court next week, posted a 40 percent decline from its opening month a year earlier.

For the city as a whole, revenue from table games was $66.8 million, down 6 percent from April 2012. Slot machine revenue was $161.7 million, down 14.4 percent due in part to the impact of a nearly 16 percent reduction in the amount of promotional credits that were wagered compared to the same period last year.

Only Caesars and The Atlantic Club reported monthly revenue increases in April.

Burger chain Five Guys is testing the adage that everything tastes better with bacon. It is rolling out a customizable milkshake program and along with bananas, peanut butter, Oreo cookies, salted caramel, you can chose bacon.  Yes that's right: a bacon milkshake.
