KISSIMMEE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Guests of a Kissimmee motel were forced to evacuate the property early Monday after an aggravated stalking suspect barricaded himself in a room, authorities said.

Just before 5 a.m., residents of the Amber Inn & Suites on West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway heard banging on their doors as officers went room to room, ordering them out of the motel.

According to officials, an unarmed man suspected of aggravated stalking had barricaded himself in a room when officers tried to serve a warrant.

The man surrendered to authorities less than two hours later. Residents of the extended-stay motel returned to their rooms.
