An Orlando woman is being held in the Orange County Jail on prostitution charges. Officers said she was operating a business out of her Delaney Park home.
It looks like a quiet little home on East Anderson Street, but according to an arrest affidavit, it's described as a house of prostitution. The Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation charged 50-year-old Diana Cowart with prostitution and racketeering.
"It's not surprising. I did see a lot of cars in and out," said Jason O'Brien, who lives next door. "I would always see a car parked there, and 30 minutes later, there would be a different car, and 30 minutes later, a different car."
The arrest warrant states that Cowart advertised online and used the name "Leslie." According to investigators, Internet sex guide reviews revealed that male customers had published approximately 45 reviews of "Leslie." Neighbors said they would see cars outside her home at all hours of the day and night.
"It was kind of off and on. Some nights it would be late, but there was a lot during the day as well. Just during regular lunch time hours and stuff there were cars in and out all the time."
"I have noticed people sitting in their car right on the corner of the street, which is right in front of their house," said neighbor Richie Weissinger.
Cowart is listed as a registered sex offender in Florida.
"I'm sure families around here should be somewhat concerned," added Weissinger
Agents state they observed a 64-year-old man and 55-year-old man going into the home last month and say they were customers.
O'Brien says, "Makes me glad that it's over."
Cowart is being held on a $5,200 bond.
