When it comes to live performances, Kid Rock seems to prefer the real thing.

The Detroit rocker slammed lip-synchers when he took the stage to present the award for Top Rap Song of the year at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards Sunday night.

"Let's give it up for people lip-synching under pre-recorded music," Kid Rock told the crowd.

The comment came after Selena Gomez sang her new hit, "Come & Get It," and Chris Brown danced around the stage to his latest single, "Fine China." Both appeared, at points, to lip-synch during the performances.
