GROSSE POINTE PARK, Mich. (WJBK) -

Dale Williams lives in the upstairs flat where police executed a search warrant on Sunday next door to the home where 35-year-old Sabrina Gianino was found strangled last week.

Dale's uncle, 41-year-old Myron Williams, is in custody. Police were at the home on Sunday looking for evidence related to Gianino's murder.

"Took some pictures. Took a couple of shirts," Dale said.

"Do you think your uncle is capable of killing someone?" I asked him.

"As far as my uncle's personality, no, I don't think he's capable of killing nobody," he answered. "But in today's society, [expletive], I don't put [expletive] past nobody."

Neighbors say Wednesday night Gianino had come home from her job at Platz Animal Hospital. She was planting flowers, then friends say she was on Facebook around 10:00 p.m. But neighbor Bob Toole says she hadn't closed her back door.

"I just thought it was odd that the door was open, especially past dark because she always closed it," he remarked.

Just after midnight, Gianino's boyfriend discovered her body and called 911. Her bag, computer and phone were missing.

On Friday, Gianino's mother got a call from her daughter's cell phone. On the other end was a man who said he was at the Rite Aid at Mack and Alter and had found it in the garbage.

Gianino's family called police, who questioned several people and over the weekend arrested Myron Williams. By noon on Sunday, they had swarmed the flat where he was living with his family.

"All over the place taking pictures of the house and the trash can and just horrible," said neighbor Robin Walls.

"The two main detectives, they went in. They had their latex gloves, and they went in. They were taking pictures," Toole said.

"It is so frightening. I mean, I've seen this gentleman. I don't know him. However, we've spoke, and it's just frightening," Walls said.

It's important to note that Myron Williams is not charged in this case. The prosecutor's office told us they have not yet received a warrant.

A fundraiser to help with Gianino's burial expenses is being held Tuesday night at Marge's Bar where her boyfriend works from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Gianino's funeral will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 375 Lothrop Road in Grosse Pointe Farms on Friday, May 31 at 11:00 a.m.

A massive construction project is underway in Macomb County. If you travel on Van Dyke, you know how rough it is. Now, jackhammers are out there tearing up a two-and-a half mile stretch from 11 Mile to Chicago Rd. The road will be milled, then resurfaced with asphalt. New curbs will be installed. Nine intersections get new traffic signals. Sidewalks will be ramped to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Weather permitting, the project will be finished this summer.
