UNION CITY, Ga. -

A well-known thrift store is back open for business thanks to a big upgrade from Chick-Fil-A's founder.

Union City's Graceland Thrift Store had a grand reopening on Thursday at its Red Oak Road location.

The thrift store was started in 1984 to help raise money for the Children's Village at Christian City, a home and school for troubled kids.

Truett Cathy, a longtime shopper at the store, helped the organization to build a bigger and better store.

Graceland thrift store is open Monday through Saturday. They accept donations during the week, and all items are tax deductible.
