Disney's promises 24 hours of fun to kick off a 'Monstrous Summer'
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
Our friends at Walt Disney World are pulling an all-nighter.
Disney has invited park guests to kick off what they're calling a "Monstrous Summer" to celebrate and promote the release of Pixar's "Monsters University" in theaters on June 21. As part of the event, the Magic Kingdom will be open for 24 hours. It all started Friday morning, when park gates opened at 6 a.m. A similar event is being held at Disneyland in California.
The Disney Parks Blog promises to be updated its website with video, images and stories throughout the night. You can visit their site by clicking here.
JeniLynn Knopp and Banks Lee, co-hosts of "Orlando Attractions Magazine – The Show," will be streaming live during the night of the all-nighter, from 11 p.m. Friday until 1 a.m. Saturday, Eastern, or possibly later, they tell us. You can watch their live stream here.
