CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

United Launch Alliance on Friday successfully put into orbit a Delta IV rocket carrying a payload for the U.S. Air Force.

The rocket had been scheduled for launch on Thursday, but it was scrubbed due to issues associated with a ground support system helium pressurization line, ULA says.

Aboard the Delta IV is the Wideband Global SATCOM satellite. According to ULA, the satellite will enhance communications capabilities to America's troops in the field.

This launch is the fifth ULA launch in 2013 and the company 71st overall.
