'Ernie' gets an extension at Detroit's City Theatre

Mitch Albom announced from his show on WJR radio, that Ernie will extend past its scheduled July end date, for five more weeks through August 11 at the City Theatre, located inside of Hockeytown Café.

Since its inaugural season in 2011, the two-man play has become the highest-attended show in the history of the City Theatre; each year requiring performance extensions.

Tickets for the extended dates go on sale Saturday, June 8 at 10 a.m.

For more information about tickets visit OlympiaEntertainment.com, the Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge), at all Ticketmaster locations, Ticketmaster.com and at the City Theatre box office, located inside Hockeytown Cafe.

As with the past two seasons, proceeds from Ernie merchandise sales will go to the Ernie Harwell Foundation.
