Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for parts of north Ga.

ATLANTA (AP) -- A flash flood watch has been extended through late Monday afternoon for parts of north Georgia.
 
Continuing thunderstorms through Monday morning prompted fears of flooding from Atlanta to the north.
 
The flash flood watch is in effect in Rabun and Habersham counties. (CLICK HERE FOR A CURRENT LIST OF WATCHES/WARNINGS)

Forecasters say low-lying areas could quickly become clogged with debris, which could lead to extensive street flooding.
 
Widespread thunderstorms over Alabama early Monday morning were expected to move into north Georgia.
