Few details are being revealed about a dead man found Monday morning near Georgia Perimeter College's Clarkston Campus.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, a passerby on North Indian Creek Road discovered the body of a man who appeared to be in his 20s shortly after 7 a.m. about 30 feet from the sidewalk. The person notified 911 and the campus police were alerted.
Paramedics responded to the scene and declared the man deceased. The GBI was also notified and is assisting in the investigation.
Authorities say that they believe the man was murdered. Investigators said that recovered evidence, including ID, near the body, but refused to comment on that. FOX 5's Chris Shaw reports that officials are not sure if he was a student at the school.
An autopsy will be performed on the victim on Tuesday to determine the cause of death.
The GPC Clarkston campus is located at 555 North Indian Creek Drive. Clarkston is located about 12 miles northeast of Atlanta.
