David Does It: Siphon-brewed coffee from The Vespr
ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
A new coffee shop in east Orange County is bringing the technique of siphon coffee making to the Orlando area.
The Vespr Craft Coffee and Allures, near Waterford Lakes Town Center, offers coffee brewed by a siphon, which uses the expansion and contraction of water vapor to push water between glass chambers. The infusion-style brewing filters the grounds from the coffee.
"You get to pick whatever flavor you want to suit your tastes," Vespr owner Edd Siu said.
The siphon coffee maker brews about two 8-ounce cups and takes about 3 minutes, Siu said.
