An Arizona family will soon add three bundles of joy! They’re from Kingman and have had to travel to Phoenix for doctors and the hospital.
The local hospital in Kingman doesn't have a NICU, so now the Davison family is in Phoenix for an indefinite period of time.
The family will add another three kiddos to the group all at once.
“We’re supposed to deliver June 26, hopefully they’ll be close to 5 pounds by then,” says expecting mom Kristen Davison.
Five pounds each. Kristen and Todd Davison are expecting three boys, conceived naturally.
“We both kind of figured that somebody thought that it was something we could handle or it wouldn’t be that way,” says Todd Davison.
“It’s been quite a challenge to have to pack up the baby and dogs and being pregnant and travel all this way,” says Kristen Davison.
Kristen, Todd and their little Zoe have traveled back and forth from Kingman to Phoenix for doctor appointments for months.
Their doctor in Kingman has been able to help so far, but says Phoenix may be the safest place to deliver the triplets.
“We don’t have a NICU in Kingman so our doctors told us he was going to refer you to Phoenix.”
Only thing -- they need a place to stay in Phoenix. The Davison’s will be here until their sons are born and then healthy enough to travel back home to Kingman.
Todd is a police detective in Mohave County. He will be able to take several weeks off to help Kristen care for the triplets.
