United Airlines flight diverted to Sky Harbor for smoke in cockpit

PHOENIX -

A United Airlines flight from Houston to Los Angeles made an emergency landing at Phoenix Sky Harbor Wednesday after smoke was reported in the cockpit.

United Airlines flight 468 landed without incident about 2:50 p.m. Firefighters, police, and airline personnel were standing by. The flight was scheduled to arrive at LAX at 3 p.m.

Passengers will be put another another flight that leaves Phoenix for LAX at 5:30 p.m., for expected arrival at 6:44 p.m. This information may change, so as always, check flight status with the airline.

The cause of the smoke is not known.
