PennDOT invited motorcycle riders to participate in National Ride to Work Day on Monday.
They also encouraged riders to ride safely on that day and throughout the entire riding season.
Secretary Barry J. Schoch at PennDOT says, "National Ride to Work Day is a great way to highlight the freedom and excitement riders experience on their motorcycles."
Riders should wear reflective clothing to increase visibility, ride sober and allow lots of time and space to adapt to changing road conditions or hazards.
There is a free training session offered through the Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program, which riders are encouraged to attend.
