Change is Good celebrates ARTWN in Ferndale

FERNDALE, Mich. (WJBK) -

Change is Good, now in its second year, celebrates ARTWN-The Exhibit, an 11-piece temporary two-year outdoor sculpture installation launched in the spring of 2012.

"The event itself also gives people a chance to take home some art of their own," she added, noting "the expired, re imagined meters we've seen thus far are definitely artistically redefined - and conversation starters."

Change Is Good, a benefit for public art in Downtown Ferndale, will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, June 21 at the Rust Belt Market at the corner of Woodward & 9 Mile.

The event includes food, music, cash bar, silent auction and a live auction of "expired parking meters reimagined by artists." FOX 2's Charlie Langton is the scheduled guest auctioneer.

Tickets are $20 and are available through DowntownFerndale.com or by calling the Ferndale DDA at 248-546-1632.
