MELBOURNE, Fla. (AP) -- A French company is expanding its operations in Florida. Florida Gov. Rick Scott, who is on a week-long trade mission in Paris, announced on Tuesday that Vision Systems would create its first U.S. subsidiary in Melbourne. Scott said that the company will eventually hire 40 people over the next three years. The company based in Lyon, France, is a supplier for the aeronautics, marine and automotive industries. The company is receiving a combination of both state and local incentives. State economic development officials said that the state incentive remains confidential. Vision Systems could receive nearly $60,000 worth of tax abatements from Brevard County and the city of Melbourne. Negotiations between Vision Systems and state officials began back in August 2012.
